John Goodson

John Goodson is a data access middleware expert who've been involved in developing key data access specifications by SQL Access Group, Microsoft and Sun. John is Vice President of Product Operations for DataDirect Technologies, an operating company of Progress Software. He has been involved with data access software for a number of years and contributed to the emergence of Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), JDBC™, J2EE, .NET and ADO. 

 

    

 

Wilshire Conferences' Enterprise Data Forum

During the Enterprise Data Forum conference, John Goodson participated in a panel discussion about the future of computing and software. Later that day, we interviewed John, Bob Bickel of JBoss, and Dean Guida of Infragistics about software trends. 

John discussed data access and issues such as performance and APIs for XQuery processing from Java.
