Jeff Carmichael

Jeff Carmichael has been intimately involved with hardware acceleration for data as diverse as XML and video. Jeff is Chief Technology Officer and Vice-President of Engineering for Tarari. He has been responsible for hardware and software engineering of e-commerce appliances and acceleration devices, including secure satellite/cable digital delivery boxes. Recently he's been involved with the development of the Random Access for XML (RAX) content processor.

Web Services Conference

We recorded Jeff's presentation during the Web Services Conference at the San Diego Supercomputer Center. 

Jeff participated in a panel presentation about Web services security with Mark Colan (IBM), Rajiv Gupta (Confluent Software), Thor Larholm (PivX Solutions), and Gene Thurston (AmberPoint). Jeff spoke about content processing (accelerating XML and web services processing) during the panel discussion.
